Double yolk harmful?

It's only harmful if the eggs are too large and they get stuck. Double yolks just means your hen double ovulated pretty close together. It happens more in higher production breeds, or in early spring.

I’ve been told that two yolks just mean one less egg in the long run. Egg per day means in two years she will drop production drastically as she runs out of embryos. Not harmful. Just facts. if it were double yolk eggs every day, I might be concerned as to the cause. But a couple a week for a month won’t hurt anything at all in the long run.

Not true. They are born with more ova(not embryos) then they will ever lay.
Overall health in the long term of bird is what determines how long they live and/or lay.

I guess I stand corrected. Why the drop around 2 years in your 300 egg plus breeds?

More from overall health, and reproductive system, issues that comes from laying that many eggs.
Many breeds drop off in egg quantity as they age.
Some higher production birds do live and lay longer than a couple years.
