double yolk normal?

The last couple of days I've been getting 2 yolks in my eggs and was just wondering is that normal, or will it hurt my chicken?
Absolutely normal; we get them from new layers all the time. Super-size eggs might create some soreness if they continued, but they won't; the hens will settle into normal-size (for them)eggs when their systems settle down.

It is a normal thing to see every so often.
It happens when 2 eggs pass thru the hens egg system and merge into one large egg. ( this is the non-medical descrption of the process)
I hate it when one of my hens start doing this as alot of time later one of my girls get egg-bound and dies. Then i get no more double yolkers.
I think it stretches the hens inner egg factory making (again more non medical descriptions) it possible for 2 separate eggs to try to pass at the same time.
, bounding her up.
There is nothing you can do about it that i know about.

honestly its pretty normal. I had a few little RIR's who would do it frequently. I agree with everyone else. They will settle down and come into their own size eggs. I wouldn't worry if she doesn't seem in distress or anything.
