First thing I did this morning was run to the bottom of the garden to let the feathery ones out then straight on here - before I even started the coffee :eek::eek::lau - 20 pages overnight :lau
I’m sad cause I’m never gonna get any rest because I have twins!!!! We have them! I took pics! Ones smaller bet they are all good! Healthy and loud! Omg I’m in awe. It happened so fast I just have pictures!:celebrate:love:eek::wee
:ya:jumpy:ya:jumpyCongratulations - they are adorable :ya:jumpy:ya:jumpy

so no Facebook,
This is a good thing!
I'm not a FB fan, but for twin updates...
Please update here as well as facebook. I don't do facebook or twitter or anything. Joining this website is actually a big deal for me (I'm a pretty private person)
Glad I'm not the only one! I no longer use FB either and considering all the privacy abuses they have been doing to us all for years that has come out recently I'm surprised there are still so many that do! Unfortunately they have destroyed most forum communities online (hundreds of thousands of them) so there is actually less choice than there was 10 years ago!
I recommend
Keeping it here...in this thread.
Absolutely! And I'm guessing that the mods can edit the title if @Scott214 wants?
Look forward to seeing the updates!
Btw started 7 Japanese quail eggs yesterday
Welcome to BYC :welcome - that is so exciting you are trying again. We have a UK thread as well, I'll try to find a link for you!

I've been following since thurs. Every time I've seen a twins hatching thread, I've followed it with fingers crossed. But most have not turned out well, ---so you've beaten the odds!!!!! Congrats! You could keep this thread going for months, years, even. ➔There's a way to update the title, adding words such as 'successful hatch', or '2 healthy chicks hatched'....those who've done it can advise.
Again, congrats and good luck with the babies!
Sue

Hi every one I know this thread is for chicks but i need some help with something I have had a skunk getting in to my coop every night taking my eggs well I read online that Cayenne pepper around the coop will keep them from getting away well it worked for one night then last night it got in again but this time it did not take any eggs but why and does this hole look like a skunk hole

You should post this question in the predator forum. Someone there can help you

I haven't commented on this thread yet but I sure have been checking it regularly and am so tickled that the twins made it out and they are both healthy little fluffy butts.:woot

After reading so many failed twin hatch threads this sure has been an uplifting experience. Congratulations!

I think somebody needs to start a 'Twins Club' thread for people who are dealing with double yolk hatchings can post pictures of their 'twin' successes and yes, failures also. It would be such a help to folks who are dealing with this challenge with both chicken and duck eggs.

Here is the final outcome. I got 5 chicks from 4 eggs. I thought I had another egg but I miscounted because it’s from a different batch but has started pipping on day 18! which means I got a 125% hatch rate!
OMG.....they are super cute!! Congrats on the twins hatching (and the others as well)...now time for you to get some rest and enjoy those cute babies :love:love:love:love
