Double Yolker Day 17 And Alive!

Hey everyone! I’m so so sorry about the hold up! The twins are great and I will post some pics! I started back up school and having to fill orders it’s just been crazy! I’m so sorry!

@Scott214 No problem things change, life gets really busy. I am so glad all is well and you were willing to share your twin hatch with us. When ever you have the time it would be great to see pics or hear how the twins are doing. However I fully understand that life gets in the way. I went back to work and have very little time for BYC, compared to what I had. I really miss my BYC time, but still have to do what I have to do for flock and family before I can hang out on BYC.

How are they doing? Can you post some pics? I’ve had twins before, but I didn’t hatch them on my own, my hen did, I didn’t candle them either, so when I looked out there, one was hatched, then I was taking out that shell and there was another one in it!

So it’s that time of year where hens wanna be mothers and so we have broody mommas. Well I found a hen in a book and cranny sitting on 4 eggs and one happened to be a double yolker. I was praying she just got em but nope they were at least in day 5. So I came to the conclusion if i toss it it dies and if I put it in the incubator it may have a chance or it may die so either way at least this way I have it a chance. It’s a huge double yolker and I see two chicks inside, tomorrow is lock down so I thought I would share my experiences. I know that kinda a golden rule to incubation but my better nature took the better of me. But they look healthy! Does anyone have any experience with this? This picture was on day 14

I’m sorry to say you don’t have to wait any longer.... I’m sad cause I’m never gonna get any rest because I have twins!!!! We have them! I took pics! Ones smaller bet they are all good! Healthy and loud! Omg I’m in awe. It happened so fast I just have pictures!
