On Sunday we had a really big egg from the chickens, it was about the size of the Jumbo eggs I had bought at the store.

This morning I had a great surprise!! I decided to do a comparison between the store bought eggs and my eggs. When I opened the egg from Sunday, it was a double yolker!!

Notice the difference in color between the store bought egg and my egg. I think my chickens are getting a better diet than the commercial chickens.

What kind of chicken's and how old? My 6mth old Ameracauna started laying double yokers every other day.

I am always amazed, as are my customers, at the wonderful taste of home grown eggs.

You must let your birds free range. I do also and it always seems that eggs from birds that are allowed to eat whatever crawls in front of them have that deep dark yellow that is so good when eaten.
