Double Yolks

is there any thing you can do to get double yolk eggs, or is that something that comes naturally in a chicken?

It just happens and not usually very often. I did just get one this morning though

I did notice more when my girls were first laying.

I got one 3 days after she ate a huge frog whole. Extra protien???

I got one today also. It weighed 86 grams! From my White Leghorn. I had not seen a double in several weeks.

I just got a double yolk the other day. I was horrified and hoping my hen wasn't injured it was so huge. It wouldn't even come close to fitting into an egg carton. Haven't had one since, and the hen seems fine though. *ouch*

I just got a double the other day. I have noticed I seem to get them when I forget to turn the light off at night. or when we get a warm up after a long cold stretch.
