First Giant Egg!

One of my chickens laid a huge egg!! My family’s coworkers all thought it was good luck but I was actually concerned when I heard about chickens being egg bound when learning about chickens it is amazing though I’ve heard of double yolks but never knew they could have an egg in an egg.
I read it could have been caused by stress but I’m not sure what happened.

It was definitely fun to make my whole family stand and watch me break it open on the pan.

Whoa! Congratulations, I think haha, but yeah I hope it is a one-off for your hen. I've seen some pretty big double yolkers but never shell-within-a-shell.
