This may be a stupid question, but I thought about it when I was thinking about incubating. I thought about incubating dove eggs or wild bird eggs. Then, I thought about having to actually mother them, and how you would have to literally feed them by hand. Well my question is
What are the difference in self sufficient baby birds (chickens, guineas, ducks) that can feed themselves from the day they hatch, and birds that have to be mothered (eagles, doves, pigeons) ?
Do they belong to different classes in the taxonomy order?
