ok uhm my female ringneck dove has been cooing and laughing all day and pacing around the door so i let her out to do the bathroom flight time she flew straight at me which is weird because she prefers for me not to touch her under normal circumstances she then proceeded to coo at me and just because i cooed back at her she then preened me and i'm a little embarrassed to say but she then did the mating crouch thing and i wasn't sure what to do . after flight time i took her to show my mom and when my sister laughed at me the dove actually flew at her and i had to literally hold her back i'm not sure what to say about all this but the thing i'm asking about is she was raised by her parents from the breeder which means she was not imprinted on humans so is this normal ?

sounds like your she is probably a he, I've had males try that sort of thing but not hens.. also males are more inclined to do the courtship behaviors you describe.. i would suggest getting a partner for your dove, they are generally happier that way, and she/he should stop making advances on you.

My pigeon Nutty used to think I was her mate, she would even do the male display for me (although she's a female), but she was handraised so dunno

She did pair up with another pigeon eventually though and "divorced" me.

LOL

Not sure, one of my hand raised males would do the mating crouch for me and some of my others crouch for other pigeons. But I guess if she has layed eggs it means she's a female for sure

. My female dove was very lonely until I got her a mate, then she just ignored him for the first couple months while he would follow her around and laugh and coo and build nests. Finally she started paying attention to him but will still sometimes ignore him.

If they are infertile you could let her sit on them for a week or two just to make her happy, but after 2-3 weeks the eggs might start smelling bad so don't let her sit on them too long

. Or you could just take them away but she might lay more.
