Doves and buttons?

Just wondering if anyone has ever housed doves and buttons together? My dove cage is larger than the cage that the other pair of buttons were in, so I moved them in with the doves. It's been about ten minutes, and they're still a little flighty over the doves. Has anyone else had success with the combo? I know my doves won't hurt them, but I'm not sure if they're too flighty or not.

I don't see it as a problem I have a pair in my aviary with finches and bourkes grass parrots all live happy little lives it takes a little bit for them to get use to one another

Actually I had my rescued baby doves with my buttons until the doves were big enough to be away from the brooder!

They took a day or so to know that neither will harm each other but after that they all loved it. They buttons actually huddled under the doves...lol!

Lol. Well, they do seem to have settled in. The buttons would jump around, and the doves would look at them like they were idiots, lol. Now the doves are on one of their branches and the buttons in a corner beneath the doves.
