This last weekend was Down River Days in Ione. It is a fun filled 3 day festival.
The featured event at the park is racing snow mobiles across the river and if you get to the other side without sinking you are a winner.
There are videos on You Tube, but because of the language contained, I can't post the links here.

There are also vendor booths in the park and I was selling in one of them.

I had taken the new BYC Breakfast tank tops to try to sell and I got a lot of positive comments.
But the best was the following exchange

A lady and her husband walk up and look at the shirts and she says
"How SEXIST!!!!"
"huh?" I brilliantly replied
"I am the one who makes breakfast at my house and now I am a PET???"
"Do you lay eggs?" I asked.
"Oh, that's a chicken" she muttered.
"Come along dear" says her husband as he rolls his eyes.

I am reminded of this song
This old man and me, were at the bar and we
Were having us some beers and swaping i don't cares
Talking politics, blonde and red-head chicks
Old dogs and new tricks and habits we aint kicked

We talked about gods grace and all the hell we raised
Then i heard the ol' man say;
God is great, beer is good and people are crazy

He said "i fought two wars,
Been married and divorced"
What brings you to ohio?
He said "darn if i know"
We talked an hour or two about every girl we knew
What all we put them through
Like two old boys will do

We pondered life an death
He light a cigarette
He said "these darn things will kill me yet;
But god is great, beer is good and people are crazy"

Last call it's 2am, i said goodbye to him
I never talk to him again
Then one sunny day, i saw the old mans face
Front page obituary, he was a millionaree
He left his fortune to some guy he barely knew, his kids were mad as hell
But me, i'm doing well
And i drop by today, to just say thanks and pray, i left a six-pack right there on his grave and i said; god is great,
Beer is good, and people are crazy.

God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.

God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy

i know and i don't even drink

It's really not about drinking. It's about an old man who finally found someone worthwhile to have a conversation with and leaving everthing to him. When I hear that song, it comes to mind that the old man's kids were money hungry.
