A couple of weeks ago I got 3 pullets to add to our flock of 8 RIR's & NH. Have had nothing but trouble. Youngest daughter accidentally killed one by dropping access door on the head of one of them last week and yesterday, I let the two out of their kennel in the coop and I came home last night and one was dead. I now am left with one. I have had them in a small kennel within the chicken coop for a couple weeks and I let them sleep on the roost at night. How long will it take for the rest of the chickens to accept the one that is left? The one that is left appears fine, has access to food and water, yet still gets chased. Should I keep her or give her back?

Is she close to the same size as your chickens if not I would keep in a separate spot maybe let them out to free range together for about a week and then put her in the same pen. Good luck. So sorry about the loss of the other 2 pullets

She is a little over half there size. She does roost with them and I will let her free range with them today since I am off work.

I don't usually put them together until they are all about the same size makes things easier. You might be able to take one of the girls from your flock put her with the lone pullet in another area to let them get to know each other for about a week or so then let them free range with flock but keep them in a separate place rest of the time after about week of free ranging together put them in with the whole flock. This is what I did with my new girls last year.
