Day 20 of incubation, all is quiet so far. The pacing begins

Today is hatch day. All the pacing I did yesterday seems to have paid off. I went to bed with no external pips and only occasionally thought I might have heard something but it always stopped when I ran over to look.

This morning I woke up to see seven pips. We’re up to nine pips at the time of this writing. Still no unzipping or complete hatches. The pacing continues. I need to go into town at some point today. I just know when I leave I’ll miss the fun lol. It never gets old

I had 9 eggs hatch, most of them were a full day late. Two look like runts and appear to be failing to thrive, they are eating and drinking but not growing nearly as quickly as the seven healthy ones. I believe the incubator was just a bit too cold.

I reset the incubator 35 Bresse eggs and 12 olive Eggers. Temperature has been adjusted appropriately 1/2 a degree warmer. I plan to wing band and weight the chicks tomorrow or Thursday I’ll try getting better pictures then.
