The oldest eggs were collected last Monday. Someone bailed on a ten dozen order, so I am trying to find these eggs homes ASAP. Can mail today if I get paypal'd by 4pm Pacific time. Otherwise, they will go out tomorrow. Tom is very "active" and the hens have been laying well. Have not hatched any yet, but the set I put in two weeks ago are developing great. Shipping is USPS Priority Flat Rate Medium box. I wrap eggs in a sheet of newspaper and pack them firmly. Good sized hens, good natured tom.

I hatched some of these eggs last year and had good results. I got 7 healthy poults, and 5 were hens! Nice non-aggressive toms and good sized, NOSY hens.

I may get some of these from you later this year to add some new blood to mine Patty. Where these from Chris Madalena's stock ?

Yes, I have three hens from Chris Maddalenas stock, direct hatch from birds I helped carry from his truck. The tom I hatched from his stock, I wasn't wild about his wingset, so I replaced him with this tom from this year and last year. He is half Sandhill Preservation, half Whelp Hatchery, more fertile than the proverbial Myrtle, he is! LOL. There are three hens also from his same breeding, total of six hens. I also have MW, but only one is laying off and on. Not much to mail off yet.

Hi, can you tell me how they compare to the Narangansett breed for weight, meat, ease of raising, etc? Or, if you aren't familiar with the Naran, can you give me weights on hens and toms and at what ages? What age can you butcher and still get decent sized family dinner birds? Thank you!
