So I have a dirty dozen. A VERY dirty dozen lol. Two eggs left, no pips but leaving them for a bit. Hatch day was yesterday.
Thanks to all who replied/helped on earlier thread. Thought you’d like to see a few pics
This lil one came out hollering. Still is the most vocal of the bunch
This one left an egg drawbridge behind
This one had a blonde mohawk and flavor saver (sorry for all the window glare)
This one actually had me worried for a bit. Was a good 8 minutes before it uncurled it’s neck. Was rolling around bator and doing headstands. Absolutely fine now
Sleeping beauty checking out brooder heat... This is the one I initially was concerned and posted about. She came out of the egg with the low pip on the wrong end of the egg. Didn’t need assistance. Da boss!
Couple pics of in the brooder - considering it was clean an hour ago I think they’re doing well
Bought these 18 last week. One of my Dobermans keeping watch. I have 7 parrots as well, so my 4 dogs are pretty desensitized to all birds
Before I know it they’ll all be heading outside to their “meet and greet coop/run” (not in pic) where they’ll see/hear the rest of the flock. Never had a problem introducing new members to existing gang so hoping for a quiet transition for that stage as well
Thanks again! You put my mind at ease with that one egg, and I know you were just a keystroke away if I needed you. May have been my first hatch but definitely not the last. Why wasn’t I warned chicken math intensifies when you hatch your own???
