Khloe came into the paddock, and snapped a lead rope onto Midnight Lady's halter. When they got closer to the fence, Midnight Lady could see her tack laid out on the rail.
"I thought we could go for a nice long hack, to get your mind off things, Lady." Khloe said, rubbing the mare's forehead. "You can't understand what I'm saying, but I think us breeding you to Arrow has rekindled your thoughts of Kasper, and your foals. I hope you love Arrow and the new foal you're going to have. I don't want you to be sad."
Midnight Lady nickered as Khloe hoisted the saddle onto her back. Khloe hoisted herself onto the mare's back, and tapped her side lightly. "C'mon, Lady, let's ride."
