Khloe, Midnight Lady's owner, held out a carrot. The black horse snorted, and stepped forward cautiously. Khloe fed her the carrot, and rushed out of the trailer and closed the back.

When the truck slowed to a stop and parked in the dirt parking lot, Khloe jumped out of the cab and went to the trailer and opened the door. Midnight Lady was standing there, clearly not frazzled by the ride.
