Dragonfly Farm (Picture Heavy)

I actually just got my incubator in!! I decided on brinsea, so I’d have a good one of the back.

It was day 4 today and I candled! I have 24 total, 16 are from Dragonfly Farm and 8 are from my birds or local. 19 are for sure fertile and a few I can’t see very well.
They seem to have great fertility and are doing very well considering the were shipped halfway across the country.

The breeds I received are…

Buff Ameraucana x OE
OE
Appenzeller Spitzauben
BLRW
B/B/S Ameraucana
Black Copper Marans
Buff Ameraucana

and Ayam Cemanis which weren’t in the rainbow eggs.

How fun! Thank you for sharing! I can't wait to hear how it goes. It is really hard to restrain myself from messaging breeders to ask if they are shipping eggs now....but I got a little burnt out w/multiple brooders and coops over the spring and summer. I've had a break and now I have to keep telling myself to take the fall and winter off. haha. I can do it!

I just got 23 birds from Dragonfly earlier this month. All of them are healthy and active. Am considering getting hatching eggs from Kim next year. She was friendly and easy to talk to and open to any questions you have.

I don’t know! This time of year means girls will be laying in spring!

Here are the chicks that hatched that I have pictures of. I gave some to a friend and some I just don’t have pictures of, but I’m very happy with Dragonfly Farms and will probably order from Kim again in the future!

Been thinking about getting hatching eggs from her next year. Or hatching some out from the birds I got from her last month. How was your ratio if you know?

I think 12/16 of her eggs hatched!

Debating on getting the buff Ameraucana eggs. Something golden and uncommon here. How were they packaged?
