I am new to chickens and have three six month old birds. They are eating and seem healthy and active and we just got or first egg. I was taking a picture of them and noticed our brown and black one, think she is a Wyandotte (has cluster of feathers around her face and is the color of a hawk) now has crusty drainage on those facial feathers under eyes and close to corner of beak and she looks red under eyes . I don’t see sores and her eyeball looks normal and she is eating and drinking and looks happy. What is this and should I wash and treat with ointment ? They have been with me for five months - no other birds and have large open run , dust bath and huge coop we very clean just for three birds . Thanks for help !

I posted pic of the Wyandotte and one of our Orpington. Guessing on breeds. Is the red area on Orpington normal where her “ear” is? I put ointment in Wyandotte so it looks a bit greasier
