Hello everyone! Recently my male Swedish duck has been very aggressive to his brother (I have two Swedish drakes). He only shows this behavior in the pool, where he bites the back of his brother’s neck and tries to get on top of him. This sometimes results in him getting drowned and I either break them up or it will resolve in about 1-2 minutes. I know that this is mating behavior and they have pent up sexual aggression due to the lack of a female duck. Is there anything I can do to solve his aggressive behavior?

you don’t need to get females or rehome either of them, drakes do fine with just other drakes. get two pools if possible or just let them have seperate swim times but besides that they should be perfectly happy together (also toys help keep them entertained, so they don’t get bored and fight because they have nothing to do)

i have 3 drakes 2 hens so the two older drakes are separated from the girls/younger drakes and are best friends. they even love when my third drake spends time with them ❤️
