Can someone tell me if this 6 week old mallard is a drake or hen?

Can someone tell me if this 6 week old mallard is a drake or hen?

Not being that familiar with Mallards I had to look them up as far as telling sex. and since your duck is probably too young to be getting the green head if drake then bill color may tell the tale, it said females have dull orange to blk bills and drake have bright yellow. maybe this will help some?

Could still be a lil early too. But if your wanting a duck instead of a drake then I hope your right.

It honestly doesn't matter what sex it is, am just curious as to which it is.

It is pretty quiet for the most part

sounds like a drake. I've only had rouen and pekin ducks, and the females were VERY loud. keeping them quiet is as easy as keeping them out of the water!!!
