Drake or no drake?

In my flock I find the senior drake to be the most interesting bird, with the most personality. I have a total of 6 drakes and 12 females, and I have never seen any actual aggression. Senior drake is protective and gentle with the new hatchlings.

Unless you want ducklings there is no reason to get a drake. That being said a lot of people love their drakes. I'm attached to mine, if for nothing else my duck sweetpea loves him and he protects her!
