Drake picking on one female

Nice setup :) We are working out issues with our drake as well...Is Ted in there for the whole day/ nights? Trying to figure if I need to seperate our drake full time. We are currently giving our girls a break in the afternoons to bathe, eat and do their own thing without being bothered.
Thank you! Ted is separated at night, always. On days he gets to free range his partner he was born with gets to free range with him. Only on days that the females free range is he totally alone. If is Ted’s day to locked up, he goes out 1st thing in the morning while I clean his pen. I lock him back up and clean the girls side. When I get home-12 hours later, I clean the girls side and lock them up. Ted’s gets to spend the rest of the day out while I do yard work or whatever. But what I find funny is, no matter who is locked up, the rest of the flock doesn’t venture to far away. They always take naps within the pen.

I was thinking yesterday, hoping my runners have enough space, but when I give them free range seperated they don't seperate much like yours.

Mr.Duck spent last evening and night separated. He was not happy but he can still lay up close to the ladies next to the fence. Sage, our pekin who is ruler of the flock was especially mad at me for locking him up. I've been getting the stink eye ever since. When I went to lock the coop last night, the little one being picked on was sprawled out in front of the radiant heater enjoying life. I opened up his gate this morning to see how he behaved and he immediately ran to all the nests to check the eggs. He tried to bite the little one once so I closed his gate again with the girls that were in his pen. He did his business with a few of the girls and I opened it back up because the little one really wanted in with them. She proceeded to use his drinking water to take a bath and inspect his residence. Quacking approvingly the whole time. Everybody is together right now. Mornings are usually pretty mellow as the girls are tired from being up early to lay their eggs. I have a monitor out there so I can hear if he's getting too ornery.

Thank you, that sounds like a solid plan...i think I'm going to give that a try.
Our drake is actually pretty good about being seperate, still being able to see the girls, he just doesn't eat much since he's busy keeping an eye on them. The girls do like to take breaks to check on him too.
Your babies are all so pretty!
Thanks so much :)

You're welcome! Your drake and my drake could be great friends by the sounds of it. Lol
