Drake suddenly attacking duck!!

I'm experiencing the same thing with my drake, who is harassing my runner duck. He was difficult from the beginning, but seemed to mellow a bit after a rough adjustment period. Now he is back to his old antics. He chases my runner away from her food. If I give her a separate bowl of food on the other side of the yard, he chases her away from that too. I am currently separating him from my other 3 females, with periodic visits from the 2 females he gets along with. None of us are too happy about the new arrangement. I would like to re-home him, but there are not too many folks out there who are dying to get their hands on a drake. I really love the duck he is harassing, so I'd rather not re-home her. I also am not terribly fond of the drake. Right now I'd like to just wring his neck.

I had to put 2 drakes on the rehome list for the same reason. I was very successful using Craig's list. You never know. Someone's drake may have died and they might need another one! I still have a relationship with the people that took my drakes too which is nice.

2 drakes re-homed! You hit the duck lottery!

I have 6 Ducks and 1 Drake, the drake is a nice looking white Runner and they are hard to get in my area so I definitely do not want to sell him or kill him.

My plan is to just keep them separate for a long time. Hope that when the seasons change then his mood may also change.

If after a good few week pass and he is still being a pain, then I will probably have to swap the girl out with another.

Its just so strange that he has suddenly started to do this.

In some ways I hope that the duck he is attacking is actually sick and dies. Then I can say that he was doing the right thing. But the duck seems fine so at this point in time the drake is just being an ass.

Yes, but by 2 different people! I thought I had the problem licked getting the first one gone and then the other started up acting a fool!
Sounds like groundhog day!
Men! Can't live with them yet can't live without them. :he Just Kidding men!
Ha! Ha! That same thought has been going through my mind too!
