I have 5 drakes and 5 ducks. Is that a alright ratio or do I need less drakes or more ducks?

Thats too many drakes. The hens will most likely be over bred. Even adding more ducks in my opinion won't be enough. You would need a lot of hens to satisfy 5 drakes. I would try to rehome some of the drakes.

oh cut the drakes down WAY DOWN!! if you want 2 drakes you need 8 hens

What kind of ducks do you have??

My ratio is 1 drake two 3 hens. And there are no problems. I didnt even have any when I had 2 drakes, and one hen. But it reqlly depends on the drake

Yeah.. way to many drakes... At the moment i have a 3 to 5 ratio.. two of the drakes are young though.. and will be leaving come spring, although i have noticed one has kinda "adopted" a hen

.. nonetheless he'll still be going as i have sincere doubts 2 drakes and 5 hens would work... i predict trouble come next year...
