So I've read many threads about drakes fighting, but not much on all drake flock fights. I have 2, 1 year old Pekin drakes that I adopted from a shelter. As far as I know they are brothers. Usually they are very calm and playful. This week they have taken to fighting (each other never me) Scooter starts the fight by chasing Roscoe, and Roscoe ends up kicking his butt. I always have to break them up though, they'll keep at it. My question is is it better to let them duke it out, or just keep them separated indefinitely. The first morning I noticed damaged one of them I saw a female mallard fly by, I'm wondering if that set them off.
i have them seperated for now. These are my first ducks, and I just want everyone to be happy. Here's our latest squabble.

Does this go on continuously or do they eventually stop and go about their business. Try letting them duke it out 1X and see how it ends. With my gander and drake I know it's not going to end well so I break their fights up. If it ends where one stands on top of the other then there is a clear winner and that will take care of it for a while. lol Here My drake literally goes after my gander with murder on his tiny brain. :he

Of course your there to supervise in case it gets out of hand.

It ends for like 5 seconds, and then they are at it again unless I break it up, then they do stop for like an hour. If I was rich I would just hire a referee to stay in my backyard.

I will keep them seperated, i don't really want to get 6 ducks for them.

Is this something that might get better as they age?

No, it will get worse because as they mature the hormones get higher
