Drakes mating hens?

Hello!
I have a pekin duck a little over a month old and I'm pretty sure he's got the drake feathers on the tail. We thought it was a girl until today when we noticed the feathers. It's two curly feathers at the beginning of the tail. Anyways, I have one other pekin female (I think) duck who he is best buds with, and a Khaki Campbell duck the same age, supposedly female. I also have a flock of 8 adult chickens. (all hens) So I know that drakes can try to mate with chickens and injure them, but do they ALWAYS do that? I mean, if he has little ducky friends, will he go for the chickens? I will be keeping the ducks together with the chickens in the coop at night. I really don't WANT to get rid of him (we know some people who would take him to live at their farm) but if he will surely hurt our chickens then we will have to.
So basically, any advice or input on whether drakes always try to mate chickens would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

I have a pekin drake and he has never tried to mate the hens he just pushes them out of the way with his beak. Never heard of other drakes doing that either

My drakes would attack my hens, but not mate them, then the roosters would attack the drake. I just separated them instead of risking their health.
My advice is just watch them for a while and see how they interact together.
Right now I have what I think is a drake, it's a stunted 11-12 week old and it gets along fine with my chickens of the same age.

Thanks! And...this is a really stupid question....but like how often will the boy mate with the girl duck? And WILL he?

Mine mates with my two females at least twice a day if the Indian runner drake doesnt attack him and steal the female. Which he does often.

One or my friends lost two hens to being mated by her Muscovy Drakes. She was given the Drakes because they had land and space but unfortunately she had no duck hens.

It can very easily happen. I think have ducks makes it less likely but I would definitely keep a close eye on them.

Soo.... do you think it would be best to just get rid of him? I would have to get rid of the other pekin too, because she "loves" him and gets really upset if he is out of sight. :hit
