I clip my ducks and goose's nails anytime they're looking longer than they should be. Because they usually start to look like they're curling to one side or the other, and to me, that just seems like it would hurt.

When my ducks are in their breeding pens with wire floors (and chickens too), I clip their nails. Since they arent around running on the ground, their nails dont wear down.
