Drakes vs Duckling '?'

So, if you have ducklings that are growing up, do you keep the drakes together and separate from the hens and ducklings? And will this work? Or can hens also go after ducklings?

This came as a response to something someone else said a couple days ago on a comment that made me wonder about this. I forgot who said it (sorry!). But the way they said it, it almost sounded like people were doing something like this with hens and ducklings together with drakes somewhere else.

And for doing something like this, does that then mean that the hens would all have to be broody or mother instinct activated, to work?

Its quite amazing how many things come up in learning about how to control animals and herd them.

I've been watching videos from Morgan Gold at Gold Shaw Farm. He has found that it's easier to raise the ducklings in an incubator then to let the ducks brood them. He keeps all of his adult Ducks together. Each separate patching of ducklings is kept
