Just got out some fridge eggs for the chicks dinner and realised we haven’t had any cream eggs lately… Can the colour change so drastically or did someone quit laying for weird reasons? All are under a year old

Egg colors don't change drastically from onset...ie blue doesn't become cream, cream doesn't become brown.

You can have a darker brown layer lighten as the laying season wears on. That's normal.

But unless you have Infectious Bronchitis, which would cause a sudden warping and loss of color in the shells, you don't have drastic changes of color.

So sounds like your cream layer is not laying....or....is laying somewhere you don't expect.

Well that’s disappointing 😞 She’s definitely not hiding them, their coop and run are easily searched. I have 19 that look mature enough to lay and average 8-12 eggs a day

Update! With the warmer weather, I’ve been noticing some funky poops and one of the girls was acting a bit off. Not full on fluffed up, but a bit hunched and isolating herself. I decided to worm everyone and treat for coccidiosis just in case. Today I got another very light cream egg 🎉
