Dreamcatchers anyone?

That would be pretty neat

A great use for all the kazillion feathers that fly around at moulting time

I couldn't imagine having to wrap string and stuff around anything bigger than what I've attempted though. Sounds painful!

Where you asking how much I'd sell my dream catchers for, or something/someone else?

I have yet to figure out how much I'll ask for mine. A dollar maybe. I mean, they're kinda tiny for dreamcatchers...but then again I did make them and I do take my time on each one. Hmmm. I suck at pricing my own things

Maybe some advice from you guys?
I think I'll go find some key rings (I'm sure I have lots of unused key chains laying around) and put them on a few new ones.

Yep, i wa sasking how much you sell your dreamcatchers for, and will ship them?

My DH12 just had a dreamcatcher project at school. We googled how to make them .. then headed off to Michael's .. granted, we spent 65.00 .. but bought enought stuff to make SEVERAL nice dreamcatchers. They had metal rings .. in sets of 3 for 1.99 .. we bought all three sizes.

It was fun, didn't take long .. and using your creative juices is always good for the soul. I'll have to take pics and post .. (can't now .. at work)

She got a 100 on her project .. and we learned a new art!

Yep, I can ship'em

I guess a dollar a piece and shipping would probably be about $2 no matter where it goes. Not like they weigh anything

That's a lot of money

But I bet it turned out nice! At some point I'd love to learn the tricks to making those neat patterns in the middle. For now, with these little ones, I think a star shape will do. A lot of the bigger ones look kind of complicated!

Just thought I'd post a pic of the dreamcatcher I made. I used some grapevine I had around for the ring, cotton string, bone beads I had left over from another project, and a few of my chicken feathers.

I make em, all sizes, but I have not done any really bigs ones yet. I learnd from the kids book Buffalo Dreams.

prices run from 1.99 to 100+ the most I've gotten was $40. people will buy all typs and sizes

you can use what ever you like for the hoop, and to wrap it, or do like CalicoFarm and use something you want to show off as you hoop. most of the time I buy the hoops that are made for them. I put beads, charms, and feathers on them. I like to use real leather, and wax cord most of the time.
one time I used the wax cord to wrap it, and put a pach of leather in the midle, then I used charcol to draw a paw print on it. it looked really good, but the cord cut my finger.

Tip: you can put athledic tape on you fingers so they don't get cut or burnt.

You know those rings around plastic soda bottles, under the cap? I push those off to use, which is great because they're always around the house

I use yarn to wrap around those rings, which the bigger the yarn/string, the less time it will take to cover it all up (plus save your hands from hurting, haha). For the star in the middle, I just use some old cotton string that we had laying around. Any string or thin yarn would make a good pattern for the center though. And of course more string, some beads, and feathers for the tail!

I like the idea of making them into keychains!

This thread has just been great for ideas. We are making these in three weeks. I've got folks collecting soda bottle rings. I think I'll have enough by the time we get ready. Thanks for all the great ideas.
