Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

Be careful with that mower, Jim! One of our friends tipped his rider and ended up in the hospital and losing some fingers. When I have to mow along the ditch, I switch from the rider to a small battery-operated mower. It takes longer but I feel much safer.

No snow here yet. This area looks to only get maybe 3 inches from this storm. I'm good with that.

I am careful on that slope. I won't let Annie
mow it. once I get the chips in place, we won't
have a steep slope any more. and we won't have to
mow it until next year.
we have six inches of new snow. I checked the
snow on the dumpsters with a ruler. it just started
snowing for round three a few minutes ago.
we are going to stay snowed in until thursday night
or friday morning. we don't have anywhere we have to go.

we got plowed out at 4:pM
I think we ended up with a total of
fifteen inches on top of the dumpsters.
did I ever tell you about my first girl friend ?
she had long blonde hair way down her back.
unfortunately, she had none on her head.

good news , for me..
yesterday was the first day in over a year that
I made it over 24 hours without any tension head ache.
and, I am going into my second day..
we got plowed out at 4 PM yesterday.
I want to get to a hardware store for a jack nut.
I know they exist, but I don't know if the hardware
store will have any..
our Fastenal store will not sell to us ordinary
citizens any more.. they like selling buckets
of bolts, not just handfuls..

That's great new Jim. On your headaches and getting plowed out. Did you check fleet farm or menards? Don't know what a Jack nut is.

Lisa, half of the people in the hardware don't
know what a jack nut is. some people call them
Mollys .. It is like a drywall anchor. You push it
into a hole and tighten the screw/bolt. then the
inside collapses and draws up tight to the inside
of the wall.
we are playing pass the baby today. Mom and Dad
need a rest. Baby Noel doesn't feel like napping.
He is a good boy, doesn't cry a lot. Just doesn't
like bathing or being hungry..Not crazy about
diaper changes either.. lol
tonight we are going to 2510 restaurant for Annie's
birthday. they give the birthday girl her age in % off on
her meal.. we took Annie's mother there for her
96th birthday.. she ordered a bowl of soup. lol
