Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

I have definitely dug through garbage looking for stuff to not find it before!

Today is the last day of summer for the kids, we are heading to a couple parks and then dinner with a family friend in town from AZ. We haven't been out to a restaurant in over 2 years, this should be interesting!

Have a good day all, finally a day with no rain :) (didn't think I would be saying that this summer!)

I am going to join the sad because my dog is sick wagon. We found out today our beloved 9 yr old dog has bone cancer in her hip. Vet gave us a couple pain meds to keep her comfortable and gave us 2 wks to 2 months. Her pain/limp started about 2 weeks ago, we thought maybe she twisted it or stepped wrong outside but it never got better. This dog has a special place in my heart as she was my Mother's Day present 9 years ago.

I'm so sorry. Dogs never live long enough. Big hugs. I haven't gone through bone cancer in a dog. I do know it is a tough one. What breed of dog is yours?

I sawed off two large branches.
it looks like there are a few more dead ones that should come off. I can't reach them from standing on the ground. I will bring the tractor over and use the bucket for a scaffold. Sawing overhead is too hard on my neck.
that black walnut is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I thought it would be more like pine.. not so..

@WIchickMama My sincerest sympathy about your pooch. It is so hard when they are sick and you can't help them. :hugs

I lost my beloved husky to bone cancer of her jaw when she was 9 years old. She lived for 8 months with pain pills to help her get through her days and I knew she would let me know when she had enough with life. I had her put down 1 month before moving into our first house - where she would have had the room to run like she loved to do My heart still hurts missing her. We have had wonderful dogs since, but she was my soul pup.

This is what I was thinking off. Someday I will make one for myselt.

Wyo, approximately how much wood does it take. like size and amount of boards ? I think you could get up to a 4" board out of it.
I will measure it.
I was thinking of making pieces and selling them to guys who like to play with their lathes . I wouldn't charge you anything.
