Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

it was raining earlier, nice and sunny now.
We worked in the shop some more. Annie got almost the whole workbench cleared off. tossed a lot of useless items. found boxes and boxes of screws. also lots of screw driver tips ..
I got most of the pieces cut for the shelves in the small lean to.
Had to disconnect the fancy schmancy dust collector tube. the shavings were plugging up inside the discharge chute.

Sounds like a productive day, Jim!

Congrats on the lettuce, Lisa; my lettuces were an abject failure. Most of my first planting of radishes is bolting, but the second planting is coming along.

The remaining members of the "work crew" arrived yesterday, and I can't believe how much they accomplished! My project list is about 8 items shorter, and they have at least 5 more they're planning to tackle today. I am grateful to have such good and talented friends.

It took three of us to manhandle one sheep and two goats for deworming and hoof trimming. In the melee, the roof to the goat house sustained some damage (scheduled for repair today), and my face went hard into the dirt, in the same shed where a donkey cracked my pelvis some years back. But, no one -- two-legged or four-legged -- bled, and no bones were broken, so it was a success.

I've always thought my old farmhouse had a big kitchen. But, yesterday it seemed much smaller with eight adults and a toddler milling about.

Despite my best sales job, no one is taking me up on my offer of free kittens for all workers! But, several folks took "cute kitten breaks."

Also, I haven't tried it yet, but one of the guys persuaded my phone to talk to my computer, so I SHOULD be able to post photos now. We'll see.

Yesterday I made two raised beds. Now I have three of them.
I will plant tomatoes in all of them.
It takes a while to put one together, but they will last for years.
Today we are going to Plainfield. Meeting my sister at the
Pioneer Restaurant. Will give her the slats for her park bench.

My guests all departed yesterday, and today I will be meeting my sister at Living History Farms -- where we have tickets to participate in "Antiques Roadshow." I'm sure neither of us will have valuable treasures, but the experience should be fun.
I like watching antiques road show.
let us know when your episode will be aired.
I want to watch you become instantly wealthy. lol
