Hey, at least someone gets some benefit from my lack of sleep!!
I spend a lot of time and money at Menards, and the employees there range from very knowledgeable to "how on earth do they figure out how to clock in at the start of their shifts?" I once asked two employees who were working in the aisle with door locks and door knobs where I could find an under-door sweep -- they both gave me blank stares. Not only did they not know where sweeps would be, they didn't know what sweeps were.
But they briefly disappeared, came back and said they talked to someone in building materials, and folks there could help me BUILD one. Uh, no, what a ridiculous suggestion.
I'm totally fine with paying Anthony. I suspect he's going to go easy on the bill because he realized what a jackass the agent was being. I'll pay him Tuesday when I pick up my new computer speakers.
I needed to KNOW that everything except the modem and its signal were okay. Plus, Anthony speaks the same language as the service provider tech and could communicate in ways that were totally over my head. Not only is Anthony great with computers, he really likes animals -- makes him a good guy in my book.
I was just flabbergasted that the service provider's agent flat out threatened us with sending a tech to do nothing AND charge $150. Especially since someone else there was able to fix the problem in moments. Anthony has encouraged me to find another service provider, which may be a great idea.
I've also wondered what became of Anjanette.
Hope you folks in Wisconsin don't wash away. I always check on news in Duluth, which Carolyn and I pass through on our annual vacation. Those folks were inundated.
