... When you least expect it. Since I wa a little girl I have wanted to raise chickens, but my dad said they smelled so i was never allowed. When my husband and I (6.23.2012) were looking for a house to move to, we found one in the mountains with a coop!!! The landlord said it hadn't been used in years but if I wanted to clean it out I was more than welcome to get some chickens. I am now only days away from becoming the proud mama of five lovely RIR. wish me luck!

congrats i had chickens just for a while a few months or so ... i have 21 and 2 ducks and 7-8 chicks to hatch tomorrow i can't wait to see them
