I've been seriously working towards getting my own backyard flock going for the past 6-7 years. I am so excited to get my first 6 barred Plymouth Rock. I wanted Australorp, but these guys are adorable and still high on my list. My daughter is smitten. When I brought them home, she thanked me every 15 minutes for getting her baby chicks. My grandmother raised all kinds of birds, but this is the first time for me on my own and I have already learned so much from this community that I'm sure that I will enjoy this venture all the more thanks to you all!
