My chicken has been sitting out in the rain all day, for some reason she doesn’t use her coop when it’s raining. I brought her inside, blow dried her a little and wrapped her up in a towel. She’s rarely opens her eyes and isn’t moving. I don’t know what to do, can anyone help?

How old is she? Does she have any other symptoms?

Merely being in the rain is not going to bother most chickens....if it did, I wouldn't have a flock in my rainy Oregon.

Chickens are very weather resistant. They have a "slicker" of outer feathers that they oil from their preening gland. Then they have a down under jacket. They can definitely weather the outdoors better than you or I.

However, a chicken that is normally active but is now standing alone, allowing herself to become drenched when the others are taking cover, indicates a sick animal.

We would need more information to figure out what may be going on with her.

A ball park shot would be worm over load, which can cause anemia, or parasite overload, such as an infestation of mites, which also can cause anemia.

Then of course there is all manner of viral and bacterial infections, or internal problems.

To help figure out if it could be something of those requires more info.

I'm sorry your hen appears to be feeling poorly. Keeping her in the house can be very helpful, but I would not keep a heater close to her. You will over heat her, which can also cause sleepiness and lethargy as her body is geared for the out door weather in winter.

My thoughts.
