Dressed weight versus live: 60%?

I did a quick search and was unable to find what I needed. What would you say the finished carcass weight is compared to alive? I'm guessing 60% for Cornish X and probably less for slower grow birds.


Can anyone chime in on this topic please?

We've averaged about 65% of live weight.

The CX cockerels we are processing now are coming in much better than the 65% we expected - closer to 75% for the heaviest birds. I was surprised how small the guts are, especially the gizzards, in proportion to the birds.
