so I gave my three cayugas and one khaki ducks raw dried split peas mixed into their food. Their desire for their food other then snacks from the garden has been next to none. On top of that they eat leaves and are given cherry tomatoes off of the garden fairly regularly. I did not know this was a No no. Aside from the lack of appetite, everyone is acting fine, minus one of my ducks who has been limping and suffering from bumble foot which I am in the process of treating. Should I be doing anything to flush out their system? I feel like the worst duck owner ever. I had no idea. They also eat fallen peaches from my peach tree in the grass. I don’t know if this is exactly harmful either. Ugh.

Split peas are fine.
Leaves (as long as they are not tomato leaves) are fine.
Cherry tomatoes (only red ones, no green) are fine.
The peaches pit might be a problem. It contains a small amount of cyanide and if they eat too many they could get sick and die.
Make sure they are getting regular feed too.

They won't eat the pit. My Chickens and Ducks eat cherries and leave the pits...

Yes they eat the cherry tomatoes off of the vines, sometimes green and they do eat the leaves. Could that be what has caused the loss of appetite? Should I fence off the garden?
I would..My Birds don't touch my tomato plant...

Ok. So should I be concerned? Are they going to die? Should I give them something to help their bellies?
