I recently purchased dried Calendula flowers online (from someone who was recommended from this site) and am using them in the nest boxes and for a treat for the hens. How much is too much as a treat for 6 hens do you think? Right now, the hens don't seem real interested, and I threw out a dozen flowers for them to eat, and sowed a dozen more into their nest boxes. Thanks for any suggestions.

I think they'll eat as they need. Mine sometimes will only eat the grains of there feed and other times there crazy for the corn or peas lol. As long as there kinda eating them keep providing them but if there not eating them maybe try some yummier things for them. I've also noticed sometimes mine won't eat somethig I imediaely toss to them but in a couple days they destroy it. Took mine a week to eat a pumpkin. Maybe they liked the sour taste? Who knows
