So today I was stirring my chicken's bedding (I am trying the DLM) and I wanted to add a little shavings to the top, but I ran out! My DH moved the lawn yesterday, and the clippings were good and dry so I put about an inch down. Is this ok? They have access to grit, but I am a little worried that they will eat too much and get an impacted crop. Is this ok to do? I did research a bit and saw that some people used it effectively.
