Dried out tip of tongue/panting hen

Happy weekend @Wyorp Rock !

I've had my results back from the fecal float and wanted to update you 😊

From the looks of it, oocyst levels are very low (hooray!). I'm starting to think whether all this intestinal shedding is actually worm related and not coccidiosis at all..??

I have seen several dead roundworms in their poop, so this result makes sense. I have started them on Flubendzadole this morning for 7 days, and will re-test them at the end of the month.

Do you know much about capillary/hair worms? It is evident here that my girls have them. I read that they can live in the crop and oesophagus.. could that explain why one of my young hens is constantly flicking her head? (No mites, lice or any evidence of something irritating her ears).

Thanks for your time šŸ’—šŸ”
