I'm assuming that the rig workers and/or their remains have not been found.

Let's just say that hearing the chant of "Drill, baby, drill!" influenced my choice of candidate in 2008's election.

Everything's all fun and games until someone gets hurt (or blown up). Prayers to the families of the lost.
The Valdez spill didn't kill anyone (just wildlife and the local fishing industry). Maybe THIS will send a messege about the dangers of drilling offshore? Doubt it. Besides, it's only 5,ooo gallons/day - might take a chunk out of BP's profits for the quarter, but no worries - gas will go up and they'll make it back by next quarter!

I was really dreading the DelMarVa drilling proposal...I personally don't want to lose the Bay. It is weird how shortly after the talk of more drilling this accident happened.

My DH is from Valdez, and it recovered nicely by the time that I lived up there, but it took YEARS...

Ohhh Oooh Oooh - I got one *raises hand*
I broke three drill bits while building my coop - drill abuse or screw abuse? I think maybe you should have a license to operate a drill.

We have a Pileated who seems to think cedar siding is a delicacy- for his early morning breakfast.

Root canals suck. Nothing worse, seriously I'd rather get tangled in an electric fence for an hour.

If a male woodpecker shows up at your house the same time each day they are not feeding, that's a mating song he is drumming, he is available and letting the gals know. They like the hollow resonance of a house.
