I have a group of rhode islands that are going through a lot of water like 20litres in 2 to 3 days there's 8 of them 7 hens 1 roo. 20l usually last my other pens nearly a week with more hens.
They all seem fine I get about 5 or 6 eggs a day. I thought it was the waterer leaking but I've changed/checked it all 3 times and the water is still going. They're in a pen so nothing else apart from maybe a few sparrows can get to it. Poops are a bit wet I find the bedding under roosts is quite damp compared to others. This has been something couldve been going on for a month or 2 , its not very warm and we've had the wettest winter last couple months
What would cause them to drink so much.?
