Hi: I am new at raising chickens. I have nurtured the cross beaked chicken to keep alive

:cool:and am concerned about watering and feeding. I know about the deep bowls for water and food. However, I am interested in using a drip waterer. Does anyone have any success using a drip waterer with a cross beaked chicken?

Wow-- I can't believe that you just posted this today! I was about to ask the same question! I have a cross-beaked hen and she really makes a mess of the water. If she could use a nipple waterer that would make things so much easier. Incidentally, I make my girl oatmeal every couple of days and mix in some regular feed/ scratch and grit-- she has a much easier time scooping the moist food and I know that she is getting the nutrition that she needs!

Years ago we had a cross-beaked chicken and he ended up being the dominant rooster. I used a regular chicken waterer and also kept a bowl out just so he could have access to that if the regular waterer was too difficult. I have never used a drip waterer-sorry I can't help out with that.
