I searched this and couldn't find what I think I need. Using cell, so apologies in advance if I missed something.
Concern: my usually talkative lap and back jumper hen is a black Jersey girl. About 6 months. I noticed today she didn't run out of coop as usual. She didn't talk chicken to me as usual. When she came out of coop to range with her friends, she periodically had a clear liquid coming from her mouth. Looked like egg white / saliva. Should I be concerned. I saw her peck and scratch but not her usual high energy self. I don't know what hen poops what. I have 5. Upon scooping the coop , no unusual poop was visual. I will admit, there water was empty. I am having issues with their new waterer. It is gallon, hangs and it seems it's getting empty daily. It lasted day and half .., now barely a day. Is my hen sick with this drooling or whatever I should call it? Tia. Xo.

Check her crop when she goes to bed, then first thing in the morning before she eat/drinks to see if it has emptied. http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/impacted-slow-and-sour-crops-prevention-and-treatments
Do you know if she laid an egg in the last couple of days?

Can you post some photos of her and your water system?
Running out of water is not good, chickens get dehydrated quickly - this can compound any crop issues and make laying eggs more difficult. You may want to offer a large bowl or fount filled with water until you can get your water system figured out.

Also where are you hanging the water system? Is it leaking onto bedding which can molds or mildew?
