My 2 yo, ri red, suddenly not walking right. It's leg won't stand straight on it. Brought it inside 2 nights ago, dog crate. Last night gave it warm water tub treatment and an egg came out. She's panting still (attached is egg image, it's got weird white spots on it). Wondering if she's got a second bound egg? Leg injury? This chicken won't lay down, its tail keeps puckering up and down. I don't see any signs of bramble, don't see any signs of anything tbh. Just asking here see if vitamins and rest is what I should do? More baths?? She's letting me hold which she never does.

Roams my backyard with 2 others, pellets for feed. She could have jumped or something to injure. But no swelling, no crepitus, she kicks her legs when you pick her up.

She may have another egg in the pipeline. Sometimes when they have that spot on one side, or banding, with the extra white coating, it's from two eggs touching each other in the shell gland pouch. So another may be coming. Sometimes if they are having trouble laying an egg, or it's delayed, it can press on the nerves causing paralysis in the leg, which should resolve when the egg passes. If you have some calcium citrate + D (Citracal) give her one tablet a day for a couple of days, see if it helps her pass an egg, it will help with contractions.
