i first noticed the drooping right wing. a day later, i am seeing the little chick also hobbling, clearly favouring its left foot. in the meantime, both wings are drooping (the right more than the left).
i can not feel the tendon slipping, the joint also does not appear swollen (at least not significantly).

otherwise, the little bird is eating and drinking normally, interested in its surroundings and hobbling around with its mom & flock if i let it. no other birds in the flock show signs of illness.
i have separated it together with a non-threatening 'friend' to restrict its movements.
i am giving 1/4 81mg aspirin 3 times as well as electrolytes/vitamins in drinking water.

here is a video:

any suggestions what might cause this?

would a genetic problem not have been visible pretty much from day 1?
as for nutritional problems: after starting the chicks on organic starter, i am now feeding organic grower - most days fermented in addition to the 'normal grains'. i also add probiotics to their water on a bi-daily basis plus occasionally supplement with an electrolyte & vitamin-mix. they are also free-ranging and are getting occasional treats (mealworms, boiled eggs, zucchini etc...).

here are two more (very short) videos showing the movement:

Hmm...and there's no sign of injury?

no, none that i can see or feel.
we don't have an avian vet in this area but i contacted our provincial veterinary service and it was suggested that this might be a torn ligament as the joint also bends slightly forward and sideways.
i bandaged the leg (a "robert jones bandage" - or so i hope ;-)) but took it off for the night when the bird became completely immobilized and seemed to be in more pain.
*sigh* i'll see what awaits me in the morning...

btw, the vet mentioned that the drooping wings might be a result of the chick trying to stabilize itself, making up for being off-kilter - so to speak - and/or repositioning its body to compensate for the injury.
