Hey friends! One of my hens has been really droopy recently and doesn't seem to be feeling very well. She hasn't really been picking a lot and doesn't have the energy she has always had. She has done this before and quickly recovered but this time there seems to be no relief for her. She has been this way over a week. I attached a photo because I think that will probably be more helpful. We have some rooster booster if y'all think that would help. Any comments and help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Is she laying? If she has been laying recently, but stopped she could be egg bound. I would give her a warm epsom salt bath and see if that solves the problem. Good luck
Im not exactly sure because we have many of the same breed so their eggs look the same. I do know that they are all not laying, so it is very possible she hasn't been laying. I will try the epsom salt bath. Thank you so much!!

In addition to the soak, give her calcium. Best would be calcium citrate with Vitamin D, but even a tums if that is all you have. Continue the calcium for a few days, even if she lays an egg. Calcium helps get the contractions going, that are needed to push out the eggs. Even if she's on layer feed, and has oyster shell available, some hens need extra help sometimes. Human calcium tablets are available at the grocery or a pharmacy. Just open her beak and place into her mouth.

Perfect thank you! We went down there and she laid something but it is like this white frothy stuff so I'm not sure if that is the egg whites or what. She did that but is still pushing as if she is trying to lay an egg. She has been doing this for a little bit as well. I am going to attach a photo in a few.
